Anonymous GCU Student – Spring 2021
“Prof. Reha is so far the best teacher that I have had in my programming classes. He is very well organized and is extremely knowledgeable in multiple areas of programming. Over the course of the semester, he has been showing me ways that I can continue pushing my skills in programming and continue to learn past the normal set of requirements. I am very happy that I got to have him as my professor this year, and I hope to get him in further classes.”

“Mark Reha is one of the best instructors in this major. You can see that he really cares for each and every student. He really does his best to set us all up for success.”
Anonymous GCU Student – Spring 2021
“Professor Reha continues to be one of the best Professors in the Computer Programming department. Although the grading is more scrutinous than other professors it is refreshing to have someone so dedicated to the field and dedicated to developing students into excellent engineers, a great job as always!”

“One of the best courses and professors I have ever had. I would not be in the situation with my two programming jobs if it weren't for him, he is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and cares to help you improve within the field and where to further master your skills as a student so long as you put in the work to do so. He is an exceptional professor and I would not be where I am now if he wasn't one of our professors. Keep up the great work Reha!”

“By far the best professor in the program! Extremely knowledgable and knows how to teach, answer questions, and assist students in overcoming challenges. I learned the most from having him as my professor and never felt like a class was a waste or that I didn't learn anything. I wish I could have had him for every class in the degree.”

"Thank you for your guidance and teachings. It has always been a pleasure taking your class, I am very inspired by your work and your personality."

“Mark Reha is a very tough grader, but it is needed. He uses his past experience in the industry in order to create a good learning environment and relate it to Java enterprise. I liked his teaching style a lot. The way he presents the information is a very easy way to follow and apply to future projects.”
Anonymous GCU Graduating Student – December 2019
“Professor Reha was the best teach I have had for my field of study. He has the correct balance of rigorous material as well as important information we need to move forward as a computer programmer.”
Anonymous GCU Graduating Student – December 2019
“He is the best professor at GCU that I have experienced in the Computer Programming Major. If you really want to learn instead of a good grade, you should go to professor Mark Reha.”
Anonymous GCU Graduating Student – December 2019
“Reha is and will always be one of my favorite instructors as he really cares about his students and their education.”
Anonymous GCU Graduating Student – December 2019
“Mark Reha is literally the best teacher I have ever encountered - he's passionate, more than knowledgeable, and actually cares about whether students are grasping the concepts being taught. He's effective, efficient, and just overall the best professor/teacher I have ever come across. Seriously. Give him a raise, he is worth it - he's single- handedly kept GCU's Computer Programming major relevant and competitive in the technology field of the college market - PLEASE give him free range to design the courses in the way he sees fit, otherwise GCU's CP major will probably become obsolete and it won't bring in any new students; everyone would go to lame ASU. So trust him; let him design the course in the direction he sees the industry going in. If you don't then that will be GCU's loss and honestly would be an utter shame.”

“I was wondering if you would review my resume if you could find the time? I would really appreciate it. By the way, thank you so much for everything you do as a professor (and as a teaching authority in general), I cannot imagine the programming major without you! You have set such great standards and given me so much to look up to, and I will be forever grateful for your professionalism and competency as a teacher, as you have made me work to become a better student and person as a whole.”

"Just wanted to send a thank you for the great class experience in CST-126. You are a fantastic teacher and really helped make the class exciting and enjoyable. Before the class, web development was not on my radar as something I would be interested in. Now, it has moved to the top of the list. Looking forward to exploring it more. Thanks again."

"I really don't think I would change anything about this course. In fact, I would say that all other CST courses should be modeled after and taught how this class was taught. I am glad we were not just provided with a textbook and told to read certain chapters each week. I loved the PowerPoints that showed us short explanations of the concepts each week. But for me, the most effective tool was the short assignments. In prior classes, we just solve problems out of the textbook. While those are fine and I understand they are necessary to get us thinking about problem solving, they didn't help with the big projects we were working on. I like how our short assignments in this class gave us a brief idea of how we should be implementing that week's feature into our Blog.”
Anonymous Online GCU Student – September 2017
"I really like the way this course is presented. At first all the lectures, readings, short
assignments etc. was overwhelming. Though as the weeks have gone by I have grown to appreciate the pace of this class and the effort that you, our instructor, has placed. This was the not case with previous courses. Feedback was minimal, and instructor posts was lacking in the discussion forums. The pace was manageable, the content understandable, and the input valuable.”
Anonymous Online GCU Student – September 2017
"I really enjoyed all the detailed feedback that was given on submitted work, it gave me a lot of concepts and coding techniques to improve on. Many of my programming classes have failed to give good feedback on code, however, this class was the best in that aspect for me so far."
Anonymous GCU Student – April 2017
"Out of all the computer class that I attended this year, I found this to be the most superior out of all. You, as a professor, taught the class so well and really prepared us for our futures as programmers ahead. In conclusion, I met the expectations I set for myself and am very proud. I feel this course is perfectly balanced and feel no changes being needed. Thank you for the knowledge and hopefully I will have another class with you all another time.”
Anonymous GCU Student – April 2017
"I think that I learned the most from this course because of not only the teaching style (Professor Reha did an awesome job at making sure everyone understood what was being asked of them, and also adequately prepared everyone for each task) but also because of the well paced curriculum. I looked forward to this class the most, as I feel that I progressed every single class, and I always looked forward to learning something new. Finally, the feedback that was provided was exemplary, and I could not be any happier about my overall experience in this class.”
Anonymous GCU Student – April 2017
"Thank you so much for being such an awesome professor. I had a really great experience this semester! You did an excellent job at teaching and offered such great advice to me and the rest of the class."
Anonymous GCU Student – December 2016
"Thank you for a great semester. I have learned more in your class than any other course I've taken in college. I am a more confident programmer because of you."
Anonymous GCU Student – December 2016
"Thank you for being a fantastic teacher. You really helped me learn a lot about object orientated programming, C++, and the industry.”
Anonymous GCU Student – December 2016
"I have never learned as much in one programming course as I did in this one. Professor Reha, you helped me tremendously and I have never had such a great teacher for coding. The list goes on for what I learned in these 15 weeks and I enjoyed when we were able to learn the material and apply it almost instantly in our groups having you at our expense in case we were confused or lost. I also enjoyed although, boring at times, the true fundamentals and proper way to set up the project by initiating the design phase and making sure it is flawless. I'm not sure how the course can be improved, but I do know that you broke the concepts down really nicely for everyone to understand. I loved that you showed us examples of what is used and how they do it in the real workforce of this industry. Already getting us prepared for what it will look like once we leave the safety of campus and enter the real world.”
Anonymous GCU Student – December 2016
"Professor Reha is an inspirational and dedicated instructor. His passion for teaching and love for technology was demonstrated in every class he taught. He always cared about me actually learning the material, challenging my classmates and I to think critically about the problem and guiding us to a solution. Marks communication skills are top grade. He always responded to emails, most of the time the same day. He would get involved with our continued learning and send us information within the software field that would help us develop further. I would always be thrilled when I looked at my class schedule and saw he was my instructor for the semester. He is a true teacher and I recommend him to any institution looking for an outstanding individual."
